LANCASTER, Pa. - A pair of Franklin & Marshall student-athletes garnered Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) Academic Achievement Award honors. Emmett LiCastri earned the distinction for the second-straight year, while Reid Robilotto landed on the list for the first time.
In order to receive the award, a student-athlete must have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above and participated in the 2019 EIWA Tournament, or have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships through the EIWA Tournament.
LiCastri (Easton, Conn. / Joel Barlow) represented F&M in the EIWA Tournament's 157-pound weight class in each of his first three seasons on campus. He recorded a career-best 19-13 record in his junior campaign, including a 5-1 mark in dual meet competition.
Robilotto (Laytonsville, Md. / The Heights School) made his first career appearance in the EIWA Tournament this season, representing the Diplomats at 184 pounds. He secured three wins on the year, including one pin.
As a team, the Diplomats claimed their best Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA) finish since 2016 and sent a wrestler to the NCAA Division I Tournament for the third time in the last four years.
