Franklin & Marshall returns to Mayser on Saturday night to battle Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association (EIWA)-foe Hofstra. The Diplomats trail the all-time series against the Pride by a 7-5 margin and are in search of their first win since 1996.

On Sunday, F&M heads to Bucknell for the 39th all-time meeting as the Diplomats aim to cut into a 21-16-1 deficit against the Bison. 

NCAA Coaches' Rankings

F&M 285-pounder Antonio Pelusi ranks at No. 32 in the first NCAA Division I Wrestling Coaches' Panel Rankings of the 2018-19 season. The final rankings will be one of the tools used as part of the selection process to determine the qualifiers for the 2019 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships, which are set to be held on March 21-23 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

Brown Dual Recap

On Jan. 19, F&M trailed Brown by a 21-9 score with just two matches remaining. The comeback bid began with a clutch first-period pin (2:40) from Philip Robilotto at 197 pounds to put six points on the board and pull F&M within five. Antonio Pelusi was also victorious at 285 pounds. However, his 1-0 decision was unable to fully close the gap for the Diplomats.

Harvard Dual Recap

Wil Gil earned an early third-period pin at 141 pounds, and P. Robilotto garnered a 16-1 tech. fall in the first to highlight F&M's effort in a hard-fought 28-17 loss against Harvard on Jan. 19.

Sacred Heart Recap

The Diplomats concluded their New England road swing with a heartbreaking 19-18 loss against Sacred Heart on Jan. 20. Three straight wins, including a pin at 165 pounds, put the Pioneers in front by a 19-11 tally heading into 197. P. Robilotto dominated at 197 pounds with a 12-1 major that closed the gap to four points, and Pelusi followed with a 5-3 decision as F&M came up just short of the come-from-behind win.

Scouting Hofstra

The Pride enter Saturday with a 4-9, 0-3 EIWA record and are traveling to Columbia in the early afternoon before making the trek to Lancaster. Last time out, Hofstra fell to Bucknell by a narrow 22-18 score on Jan. 26. Dylan Ryder (125 pounds) is Hofstra's lone ranked grappler at No. 28.

Scouting Bucknell

The Bison are 5-6, 3-3 EIWA on the season, not including a Friday night showdown with North Carolina. Winners of three out of its last four duals, Bucknell is led by 141-pounder Joey Gould (ranked No. 29) and 157-pounder Zach Hartman (No. 10).

Record Book Watch

Antonio Pelusi enters the week with a 76-49 record for his career, which places 10th on F&M's all-time list. Paddy Quinlan (63-49) continue to move up the ranks as well and now sits in 17th, while Anthony Mancini (56-54) places 27th. Rick Durso '16 leads the Diplomats with a 145-38 career mark. 

Quinlan is 10th all-time with 22 career pins. Justin Herbert '09 tops that category with 35. 

Wins Leaders

Wil Gil (22-9) paces the Diplomats in wins, followed by Emmett LiCastri (19-11). Antonio Pelusi (18-5) and Philip Robilotto (16-9) are close behind, while Paddy Quinlan (14-8) and Cole Aaron (10-8) also reached double-digits for F&M. 

Pins Leaders

P. Robilotto leads the team in falls with seven. LiCastri and Quinlan are next with five each.

Prolific Win

The Diplomats' dominant 35-4 dual win over Davidson on Jan. 4 marked the team's largest margin of victory over an opponent since a 41-3 stomping of Millersville in February of 2014.

Historic Showing at Lehman Open

Four Diplomat wrestlers placed at the David H. Lehman F&M Open on Jan. 5 - the most ever for the Diplomats at their home tournament.  Paddy Quinlan (141) and Antonio Pelusi (285) led the way with second-place showings while Wil Gil claimed sixth at 141 and Emmett LiCastri secured fourth at 157.
