CLEVELAND, Ohio – Antonio Pelusi's run at the 2018 NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament came to an end on Friday afternoon with a defeat in the Consolation Quarterfinals.
Pelusi faced No. 11 Mike Hughes in the Second Round of Consolations and suffered a takedown at the 1:30 mark of the first period. Hughes eventually got Pelusi turned on the edge of the circle and secured the pin at the 2:33 mark.
Overall, Pelusi finished with a successful 2-2 record at his second-career NCAA Tournament. He wrapped up his impressive junior season with a 26-10 record after placing fifth at the EIWA Championships and earning his second-career automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament.
