The Diplomats are set for their final pair of home dual meets this season, starting with Gettysburg tonight at 7:30 and wrapping up Friday night against New York University on Friday night at 8:00 p.m.
Both matches will be aired live on the GoDiplomats.com media portal.
Tonight's match marks the 67th meeting between Franklin & Marshall and Gettysburg since the series began in 1930. The Diplomats hold a 58-6-2 record in matches against the Bullets. Last year's meeting was cancelled after heavy snow blanketed South Central Pennsylvania, so tonight's meeting will be the first since 2009 when F&M dealt Gettysburg a 35-13 setback.
F&M will faceoff with NYU for the fourth time in a series that began in the Big Apple on December 13, 1947 with a 27-5 F&M win. The Diplomats are 2-1 against the Violets, but the NYU win came last year. Despite winning four of the seven bouts wrestled, Franklin & Marshall was unable to overcome the holes in its lineup at New York University. Forfeiting three weights, the Diplomats fell 30-16 to the Violets.
Coming off of the first dual-meet win in 23 matches, F&M will look to rain on a two-year-old drought at home. The Diplomats will do so with two 20-match winners in Jake Bucha and Matt Fullowan, the first pair of 20-match winners in the same season since 2004-2005.
