LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall has two more freshman for the wrestling room. W. Roy Phillips '34 Wrestling Coach Mike Rogers announced that Adam Schroeder and Brad Bailey have paid deposits and will attend F&M this fall. The addition of Schroeder and Bailey brings the Diplomats wrestling class of 2015 to 10 wrestlers.
"We have two more solid guys that will help build both competition in the room and depth out on the mat," said Rogers.
Bailey, a potential 157-165-pound wrestler out of Loyalsock High School in Williamsport, Pa. was a 2010-2011 Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference Division III Second Team All-Star. He was ranked fifth in AA in District IV at 171 pounds. Bailey posted a record of 27-4 as a senior and went 20-6 in his junior year. He was an Eastern National All-American, finishing in sixth place in the Elite Division in 2010.
Schroeder is a potential 165-174-pounder out of St. Augustine Prep in Richland, N.J. He won a District 32 and Region 8 Championship at 160-pounds this past winter. Schroeder posted a record of 29-7 as a senior.
Franklin & Marshall heads into the 2011-2012 wrestling season on the heels of a four-match winning streak. The Diplomats return 174-pound NCAA qualifier, Matt Fullowan, and 11 other wrestlers to the room next year, bringing the Diplomats projected roster to 22 men.
