LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's track and field team opens its 2018-19 campaign on Saturday, hosting the annual Diplomat Open. The Diplomats look to continue to improve, taking ninth at Centennial Conference (CC) Indoor Championships last year with one podium finish, and ninth at CC Outdoor Championships with four Diplomats medaling.

F&M graduated eight seniors last year, including program record-holder and CC champion Logan Lewis '18, but an experienced group of upperclassmen looks to lead the program this season.
Athletes to Watch

Erisman returns as the only medalist from last season, taking silver in the javelin at the 2018 CC Outdoor Championships.
Lyman and Williams both return for their senior campaigns as core members of a dominant mid-distance running group with Lyman leading events such as the 800 meter run and Williams as the third leg in the 4x400 meter relay team.
Wedholm represents the Diplomats' sprint contingent, notching a season-best in the 200 meter sprint with a time of 24.94 at the Keogh Invite on Feb. 17 last season.
The Road Ahead
Six indoor meets follow the Diplomat Open, including the annual Coach I Open on Saturday, Jan. 12, as well as the Little Dip Invite in the ASFC on Friday, Jan. 25. The Centennial Conference (CC) Indoor Championships, which are being hosted by F&M, are slated to take place on Feb. 23-24.
F&M heads to Gettysburg on March 30 early in the outdoor season for the annual Little Three Meet. CC Outdoor Championships are slated for May 4-5, hosted by Muhlenberg.
