LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's Logan Lewis was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Field Athlete of the Week, announced on Monday by the conference office. The honor is the second of the season for Lewis.
Lewis broke a 24-year-old school record in the outdoor shot put on Friday, competing at the prestigious Penn Relays. He unleashed a monstrous throw of 16.03 meters (52'-7.25") in his second of three attempts, just breaking the previous school record of 52'-7", set by Talavou Alailima '95 in 1993. The junior finished in 17th place out of 44 total competitors from primarily Division I schools.
The Diplomats return to action this Friday, traveling to Johns Hopkins for the first of three days of competition at the Centennial Conference Championships.
