WESTFIELD, Mass. – Franklin & Marshall recorded three top-10 finishes to conclude action at day two of the ECAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Thursday. The F&M men finished with 13 total points, while the Diplomat women tallied 5.5.
Logan Lewis notched the highest finish of the day, placing fourth in the discus with a season-best effort of 47.30 meters (155'-2"). He also competed in the shot put, placing 17th with a distance of 14.28 meters (46'-10.25").
Evan Friend cracked the top 10 in the 200-meter dash, placing fifth. The senior clocked a time of 21.83 in the fifth heat.
Michael Hoffman recorded a pair of quality performances, most notably in the 110-meter hurdles, where he took eighth place to record a point for the Diplomats. In the 400-meter hurdles, he notched a season-best time of 55.59 to finish 15th.
Lindsey Powers was the lone representative for the women's team on day two, competing in the shot put. Her effort of 11.53 meters (37'-10") was good for 23rd.
The season concludes with the NCAA Championships for those that qualify. The championships will run from May 26-28 at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
