WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Logan Lewis won a pair of events on Saturday as the throwing squad of Franklin & Marshall's track and field team competed at the Golden Ram Invitational. The meet, hosted by West Chester, is Lewis' first competition since the NCAA Indoor Championships, and the team's last before next weekend's Little Three Meet.
Lewis began his day in the shot put, measuring a distance of 15.88 meters to win by more than two meters. Ramon Williams took 10th with a toss of 11.28 meters, while Brandon Davis rounded out F&M participation by taking 16th.
In the discus, Lewis again emerged victorious as his throw of 43.48 meters topped the field. Davis took 18th in the event, with Williams close behind in 19th.
Ryan Kozloski led the Diplomats in the javelin, the final event in which F&M competed. His toss measured 50.48 meters, which was good for fourth place. He was followed by Ben Phillips, who took 11th with a distance of 32.36 meters.
The Diplomats return to action on Saturday, traveling to Gettysburg for the Little Three Meet.
