LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Logan Lewis was named the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Year, announced Wednesday. It marks the first time a Diplomats' men's track & field competitor won the award, which first began in the 2012-13 season.

At the CC Championships, Lewis took home a gold medal in the shot put with a distance of 50'-11.00" and the freshman added a fifth-place showing in the discus throw at 139'. He will compete in a last chance meet at Springfield College on Thursday and Friday in an attempt to qualify at the NCAA D-III Championships, which take place in Canton, N.Y. May 21-23.

The Diplomats accumulated 100 points at the 2015 CC Championships earlier this month and placed third, tying its best ever finish in the outdoor championships, which last occurred in 1996.
