CHESTER, Pa. – Luk Olenginski won the 800-yard run to lead the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener University, on Saturday. The day featured Division I, II, and III schools and was a non-scoring invite.
L. Olenginski's time of 1:56.99 was good for the victory in a race that featured 82 runners. He also ran well in the 1500-meter run, placing sixth out of 111 runners at 4:01.29. Greg Olenginski finished 12th with a time of 4:09.13, while Derek Pawlush crossed at 4:16.60, good for 28th.
In the 110-meter hurdles, freshman Michael Hoffman earned a ninth-place finish with a time of 15.73, while Pawlush finished 14th out of 87 participants in the 400-meter dash at 52.33. Brad Krell ran to a 16th-place finish in the 200-meter dash at 23.31 in a race that featured a total of 86 participants.
The Diplomats are back in action next Saturday at the Millersville Metrics.
