  • Olenginski Named Academic All-America
    June 22, 2015
    Greg Olenginski was named to the Capital One Academic All-America Track & Field/Cross Country Third Team announced Tuesday, becoming the program’s first academic all-american since 2013 and seventh overall.

    In the 2015 spring season, Franklin & Marshall’s men’s track & field team put together one of its best performances in the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships, accumulating 100 points to place third and tying its best finish in the outdoor championship since 1996. The Diplomats won eight medals that included four gold, two silver, and two bronze.

    Greg Olenginski was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-Distrct 4 Team for men’s track & field, announced Friday. To be nominated for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 or higher cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key reserve.

  • Lewis Earns CC Outstanding Rookie of the Year Honors

    Franklin & Marshall’s Logan Lewis was named the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Men’s Track & Field Rookie of the Year, announced Wednesday. It marks the first time a Diplomats’ men’s track & field competitor won the award, which first began in the 2012-13 season.
  • F&M Takes Third at CC Championships

    Franklin & Marshall accumulated 100 points and placed third at the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Men’s Track & Field Championships hosted by Muhlenberg. The Diplomats won eight medals that include four gold, two silver, and two bronze. Johns Hopkins won the title with 175 points, followed by Haverford in second at 121.
  • F&M's 4x800 Relay Team Strikes Gold

    The Franklin & Marshall 4x800 relay team won gold for the second-straight year to lead the men’s track & field team at day two of the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Saturday. The Diplomats currently sit in seventh place out of the nine competing teams, while Johns Hopkins is leading with 97 points, following by Haverford (57) and Gettysburg (43).

    Franklin & Marshall is set to compete at the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Men’s Track & Field Championships starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at Muhlenberg, with day two starting at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday and day three beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. The three-day event will take place at Scotty Wood Stadium.
  • Senior Awards Announced at Annual Luncheon

    Katherine Grant and David Rosenfeld were presented with the highest honors given to Franklin & Marshall senior athletes at the annual awards luncheon on Monday in the Mayser Center. Grant won the Karvasales Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award, while Rosenfeld was honored with the Garrigues Outstanding Senior Male Athlete Award.
  • F&M Competes at West Chester Open and Paul Kaiser Classic

    Several members of the Franklin & Marshall men’s track and field team competed at the West Chester Open on Friday, while a few Diplomats participated in the Paul Kaiser Classic, hosted by Shippensburg, on Saturday. Both days featured non-scoring events.
  • Friend Wins 200-Meter Dash at All-American Meet

    Evan Friend won the 200-meter dash and placed second in the 100-meter dash to lead the Franklin & Marshall men’s track & field at the All-American Meet, hosted by East Stroudsburg University, on Saturday. The invite featured Division II and III teams and was a non-scoring meet.
  • Lewis Wins Shot Put to Lead F&M at Delaware Open

    Logan Lewis won the shot put to lead Franklin & Marshall to a sixth-place finish out of 15 teams at the Delaware Open on Saturday in men’s track and field action. The Diplomats totaled 83 points, while Stockton won the open with 174 points, followed by Monroe College with 169 and Delaware State at 168.
  • Friend Wins at Millersville Metrics

    Evan Friend won the 100-meter dash to lead the Franklin & Marshall men’s track & field team to an eighth place finish out of 20 teams at the 33rd annual Millersville Metrics on Saturday. The Diplomats accumulated 47 points, while Shippensburg won the event with 104, followed by West Chester in second at 94.50 and Indiana (Pa.) in third at 89.
  • Olenginski Named CC Track Athlete of the Week

    Luk Olenginski was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Track Athlete of the Week, announced Monday. This is Olenginski’s first honor of the season, and second consecutive week a member of the men’s track & field team received recognition, as Evan Friend and Ryan Kozloski swept the awards last week.

    Luk Olenginski won the 800-yard run to lead the Franklin & Marshall men’s track & field team at the Danny Curran Invitational, hosted by Widener University, on Saturday. The day featured Division I, II, and III schools and was a non-scoring invite.

    Franklin & Marshall earned three out of the four Centennial Conference (CC) Player of the Week honors announced Monday. Evan Friend was named Men’s Track Athlete of the Week and Ryan Kozloski earned Men’s Field Athlete of the Week. On the women’s side, Maya Jackson was tabbed as the Women’s Field Athlete of the Week.
  • F&M Edges Gettysburg; Captures Little Three Title

    Franklin & Marshall edged Gettysburg by two points to capture its first Little Three Title since 2005 on Saturday in the men’s track & field team’s opening spring event. The Diplomats accumulated 136 points, while Gettysburg had 134 and the host school Dickinson notched 122 to finish in third place.

  • Scholar-Athlete Profile: Derek Pawlush

    Last fall Pawlush served as one of the leaders for a Diplomats’ men’s soccer team that set a program record for wins with 17, captured its first Centennial Conference (CC) Championship after downing Dickinson by a 2-1 2OT score, and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championship Tournament. The success of that 2013 squad is well documented, but perhaps Pawlush’s role as a thriving midfielder who started in all 23 of the team’s contests is not.

    Nineteen Franklin & Marshall student-athletes, representing six sports, were named to the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by the league office.
