LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Greg Olenginski was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's track & field.
The award, which is presented for the first time this academic year and goes to one student-athlete in each sport, is reserved for an All-CC selection of junior or senior class standing who has the highest cumulative GPA.
A chemistry major entering his senior season with the Diplomats, Olenginski was part of the 4x800 relay team that captured gold and a new CC Championship record at the conference finals in May with a time of 7:40.46. Olenginski also earned a spot on both the Winter and Spring CC Academic Honor Roll during his junior campaign. To make the list, student-athletes must participate in at least 50 percent of contests, be a sophomore or higher in standing and have a cumulative GPA of 3.40 or higher.
