MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - With several top 10 finishes on the day, The Franklin & Marshall men's track and field team compiled 22 points to finish 16th out of 28 teams at the 32nd annual Millersville Metrics on Saturday. Shippensburg won the event with 108.50 points, followed by Indiana (Pa.) with 59 and Lock Haven with 55.
The meet featured four Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schools, along with several Centennial Conference (CC) colleges as well.
In the 100-meter dash, Evan Friend earned points for the Diplomats with a fourth-place showing (11.04), while Luk Olenginski (1:58.90) and Greg Olenginski (1:59.69) finished fourth and fifth respectively in the 800-meter run.
In the triple jump, Ryan Kozloski placed 12th with a distance of 12.72 meters (41'-08.75") and Kozloski added an eight-place showing in the javelin throw at 51.32 meters or 168'-04".
Junior Vincent Acosta finished 11th in the shot put with a throw of 13.31 meters or 43'-08.00" and placed eighth in the discus throw with a distance of 43.89 meters (144').
The Diplomats are back in action next Saturday at the Delaware Open.
