4x400 Takes Gold at Susquehanna

SELINGSGROVE, Pa. – Evan Friend and the 4x400 relay team took first to pace Franklin & Marshall at Susquehanna Invitational Friday evening. 

Friend took the top spot in the 400-meter at 52.55 while Leo Generali (53.91) and Alex Calixte (56.16) finished in the top half of the field. Luk Olenginski and Greg Olenginski placed in two of the top four spots in the 800 with times of 1:56.39 and 1:58.53 respectively. Brad Krell ran 23.68 in the 200-meters followed by Calixte at 24.46.

Vincent Acosta threw 46'-4.25" to place fifth in the shot put while Nick Fromell took fourth in the long jump at 19'-11.75" and second in the triple jump with a distance of 43'-9". 

Friend, Pawlush and the Olenginski brothers made up the 4x400 relay team that placed first in 3:27.

Derek Pawlush had the seventh fastest time in the mile at 4:39.67 and Michael Whalen (4:45.51), J.T. Paganelli (4:45.84) and Brien Miceli (4:48.73) all finished in the top half of the field. 

F&M returns to action next Saturday at the Cornell Open.
