Andrews & 4x200 Take First

SELINSGROVE, Pa. -- Franklin & Marshall took two top spots at the Crusader Classic hosted by Susquehanna University. The meet featured teams from DII and DIII institutions and was a non-team scoring event.  

Bryan Andrews ran 15:54.82 in the 5k for a first place finish in the field of 24 runners and James Hamilton took third with a time of 16:04.84. The 4x200 relay team turned in the top time at 1:34.51. The team featured Evan Friend, Brad Krell, Mohamed Bah and Alex Calixte and the time was the second fastest in the conference this year. 

Derek Pawlush, Greg Olenginski, Luk Olenginski and Krell made up the 4x400 relay team that placed second in 3:28.68. Luk Olenginski crossed at 4:31.21 in the mile for a second place finish while Greg Olenginski took sixth at 4:33.36.

Fried ran 7.27 in the 60-meter dash and placed eighth in the field of 59 while Krell took ninth in the 400-meter at 53.21. Vincent Acosta threw 45'-2.25" in the shot put and took ninth out of 44 throwers.

F&M returns to action on Friday when the Diplomats travel to Susquehanna Invitational.
