Luk Olenginski Takes First in 800

SELINSGROVE, Pa. - Luk Olenginski nabbed first place in the 800 meters to headline the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team's performance at the Crusader Outdoor Classic hosted by Susquehanna on Saturday. There was no team scoring in the event.

Olenginski claimed top honors in the 800 with a time of 1:57.32, while Greg Olenginski was close behind in third, crossing the finish line in 1:58.21.

Taaj Amin claimed second in the 100 meters at 11.31, and grabbed ninth in the 200 meters with a mark of 23.54.

Greg Olenginski secured his second third-place finish of the day in the 1500 meters with a mark of 4:03.31, while Greg Duckloe also registered a top-10 placing in the 41-person field.

Vincent Acosta took fourth in the shot put with a throw of 42'-09.00", and also placed seventh in the discus at 128'-01".

Brad Krell finished fifth in the 400 meters with a mark of 52.32, while Luk Olenginski was on his heels in sixth at 52.33.

Nick Fromell's discus throw of 164'-06" earned him sixth in the event, while Angelo Arce nabbed seventh in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:14.77.

The Diplomats return to Susquehanna next Saturday for the Jim Taylor Invitational.
