SELINGSGROVE, Pa. – The men's 4x200 relay took gold to lead Franklin & Marshall at the Orange and Maroon Classic hosted by Susquehanna Friday evening. The invite featured participants from Division III schools and was a non-team scoring event.
The team of Taaj Amin, Nils Michaelis, Brad Krell and Evan Friend turned in a 1:34.79, narrowly defeating Misericordia by .39 of a second. Michaelis picked up his second top-three finish in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.58 to place second.
Amin had two top-ten finishes in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash. The sophomore placed third in the 60 at 7.21 and took sixth in the 200 at 23.82.
Luk Olenginski, Greg Olenginski, Phil Johnson and Bryan Andrews made up the distance medley team that finished third at 10:47.28. The 4x400 relay team of Krell, Leo Generali, Evan Friend and Jon Pressman placed third with a time of 3:35.34.
Luk and Greg Olenginski had top finishes in the mile. Luk placed seventh at 4:33.34 and Greg took 11th at 4:36.27.
F&M will send athletes to the Delaware Invitational next Saturday with the remainder of the squad set to participate at the Bucknell Bison Open.
