Tillman Starts Strong in Decathlon

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Tim Tillman finished in the top two in each of the first five decathlon events as the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team completed day one of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Friday at Ursinus.

With just two events completed, the Diplomats remain scoreless along with four other teams. Haverford is in first with 34 points, followed by Johns Hopkins (19) and Muhlenberg (11).

Tillman placed first in two events of the decathlon, the 100 meter dash (11.54) and the long jump (21'-02"), while also nabbing second in the 400 meters (52.48), high jump (5'09.25") and shot put (33'-11.50") to put himself in strong position at the conclusion of the first five events.

The Diplomats will be back in action tomorrow for day two of the CC Championships. The conclusion of the decathlon will open all events at 8:45 am.
