Duckloe Wins 3000 Meters

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. - Greg Duckloe captured the title in the 3000 meters to highlight the Franklin & Marshall men's track & field team's performance at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday. There was no team scoring in the event.

Duckloe raced to a time of 8:52.84 in the 3000, besting second-place finisher Brett Schwartz of Johns Hopkins by nearly four seconds.

Angelo Arce turned in the next-best finish of the day for the Diplomats, taking fourth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:06.81. Francis Blancero was close behind in sixth at 10:11.77.

Derek Pawlush also delivered a top-10 placing for F&M in the 1500 meter run. Pawlush finished with a mark of 4:07.48 to take 10th in a field of 43 competitors.

Luk Olenginski finished 11th out of 56 in the 800 meters with a time of 1:59.31, while Mike Dohrmann nabbed 12th out of 38 in the 100 meters at 11.70.

The Diplomats return to action on Friday-Saturday at a pair of events. F&M will compete at both the Bloomsburg Husky Open and the Bucknell Bison Open next weekend.
