NEWARK, Del. – Greg Duckloe took first place in the 3000 meter to pace the Franklin & Marshall men's track and field team at the Thomson Invitational held at Delaware University this afternoon. The Diplomats finished 11th scoring 29.
Duckloe cruised to an easy finish crushing the field by 11 seconds en route to the first-place victory with a time of 8:53.76. F&M also saw top finishes in the 1000 meter with Luk Olenginski finishing in sixth place with a mark of 2:38.47, Joe Strawitz came in eighth at 2:41.35 edging out Greg Olenginski who finished ninth with a time of 2:42.26.
Mike Dohrmann took top-five finishes in the 60 meter dash and 500 meter. In the 60 meter dash Dohrmann took fourth with a time of 8.93 93 and secured fifth in the 500 meter with a mark of 1:09.91. Vincent Acosta competed in the shot put throwing 42'10.25" to placed seventh on the day. Ibrahim Kamra took seventh in the 400 meter at 53.49.
F&M will return to action on Friday when the Diplomats compete at Susquehanna at 10 am.
