LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall standout track and field athletes Nils Michaelis and Sheena Crawley will travel to Berea, Ohio this week to compete in the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College. The Centennial Conference (CC) champions are headed to the first national championship meet of their collegiate careers.
Crawley, CC 800-meter champion, is the 15th seed of 17 entrants with a time of 2:12.60. Her preliminary 800 run is scheduled for 5:10 p.m. EST on Friday. The finals are slated for 2:50 p.m. EST on Saturday.
Michaelis will open competition on Friday at 3:50 p.m. EST in the 110-meter hurdles. His time of 14.57 seconds landed him the ninth seed out of 16 runners. Finals for the event are scheduled for Saturday at 1:55 p.m. EST.
The freshmen are the only Diplomats to qualify for nationals this season. Results will be made available after completion of each event, and a schedule of events and live results can be viewed by clicking here.
