LANCASTER, Pa. - The Franklin & Marshall men's track and field team is geared up for the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships this weekend at Swarthmore. The Diplomats are looking to improve from their seventh place finish year ago.
Leading F&M are top CC competitors Kwaku Anno and Nils Michaelis. Anno and Michaelis hold the top two and three 100-meter dash times, respectively, in the conference. Anno holds a time of 11.23 seconds while Michaelis holds an 11.36.
Michaelis also claims the second-fastest CC time in the 200-meter dash with 22.60. Anno owns the third fastest time with 22.67.
Adding on to his list of accomplishments, Michaelis holds the CC's top 110-meter hurdles time with an NCAA provisional mark of 14.83. Mike Dohrmann holds the CC's fourth fastest time with 15.77.
Dohrmann holds his own CC top time in the 400-meter hurdles with 56.21. Michaelis ranks second with 56.25. F&M's 4x100 relay squad ran a time of 42.96 to mark the CC's top time.
Anno, the 2008 long jump champion, holds the fifth best jump with a distance of 21'3/4".
On the field, Christian O'Connor holds the second best CC distance in the hammer throw with 123'.
The CC Championships begin on Friday, April 30.
