Kwaku Anno turned in an outstanding performance at this weekend's non-team-scoring Osprey Open, hosted by Richard Stockton University. Anno took second place in the long jump with a 6.65-meter leap, .12m behind Donnie Hill of Cumberland Community College. He finished third in the 200-meter dash with a 22.65, .12 seconds off of the championship pace run by Wesley's Larry Beaver. Anno was the fourth finisher in the 400-meter dash, running a 50.11.
Lucas Burbank also picked up a second place finish in a field event. His javelin throw of 55.70m came in just behind John Badala of Kean University set the gold standard with a 57.29.
Lipton Thompson was eighth amongst the 38 racers in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.71. He also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.19.
Ryan Bell was eighth out of the 37 runners competing in the 800m. He clocked a 2:02.69. Andre Thompson of Gloucester Community College ran the distance in 1:59.89 for the victory.
The Diplomats return to action next week at West Chester University.
