Anno and Burbank Show Well at Little Three


CARLISLE, Pa. - Kwaku Anno and Lucas Burbank picked up Franklin & Marshall's only event wins at the 2009 Little Three, hosted by Dickinson College. The Diplomats finished in third place behind Dickinson and Gettysburg.

Anno won the long jump and finished second in the high and triple jumps, while Burbank won the javelin. Anno leapt 19' 11.75" for a 9.25" win over Dickinson's Aaron Hill. In the high jump, Anno cleared at 6'-even, two inches lower than the winning height of 6'2" cleared by Gettysburg's Greg Minnick. Minnick bested Anno in the triple jump by nearly nine inches. Anno posted a 40' 6.25" mark against Minnick's 41' 3".

Burbank outdistanced the field by 8'3" in the javelin. Burbank threw a 181'3". Second place went to Gettysburg's Tom Lester at 173'-even.
