LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis team opens the spring portion of its schedule this weekend, taking on Washington & Lee, Friday, Feb. 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hempfield Rec Center in Landisville, Pa.

The Diplomats a notched another winning season in 2018, earning the program's seventh-straight Centennial Conference (CC) semifinal appearance by defeating Washington College by a 5-3 tally in the First Round before falling to Johns Hopkins 5-0, ending the year with a 10-9 overall record and 6-3 CC mark.
F&M lost two seniors to graduation but return an experienced group of upperclassmen. Five newcomers, four first years and a sophomore transfer, will add depth to the roster, competing for spots in the lineup.
Salas looks to follow a successful junior season that saw him earn All-Second Team honors after dominating Conference action with a 7-2 record from the No. 2 singles spot.
Levin returns for his senior campaign after earning All-CC Honorable Mention, with a 7-2 CC mark in the No. 3 singles spot.
Pace delivered a strong showing in the fall, notching a victory in the Flight B singles competition before falling in the quarterfinals of the ITA Southeast Regional Championships on October 1.
Bellersen, along with Jack Rothman '18, led the Diplomats from the No. 1 doubles position. The pair earned a spot on the CC First Team after recording a 12-7, 6-3 CC mark including a seven-match winning streak from March 9-28.
The Road Ahead
Following a three-game trip to Orlando over Spring Break, the Diplomats head back north for a non-conference matchup with Wilkes on Feb. 23 before opening CC action at McDaniel on Thursday, Feb. 28.
The Diplomats host Haverford for their first home match of the year on Saturday, April 6, while the Conference Tournament begins with the First Round on Wednesday, May 1 and concludes with the Semifinal and Championship matches on May 4-5.
