Men’s Tennis Competes at ITAs


FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – Franklin & Marshall's men's tennis team opened its 2018-19 season sending four participants to the ITA Southeast Regional Championships, hosted by Mary Washington this past weekend.

Adrian Charchalis tallied a 6-3, 6-2 victory in Flight A over Averett's Thomas Woodcock to start off his collegiate single's career before falling to Salisbury's Kelson Webber 7-5. 6-3.   

Andrew Pace opened Flight B single's action with a 6-1, 6-2  win over Hampden-Sydney's Tyler Brice and dropped a hard-fought 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) loss to Salisbury's Matthew Ryan.

Zack Levin and Sam Bellersen led the group in doubles action, advancing to the round of 32 in Championship Doubles after defeating Christopher Newport's Lacombe and Baron 8-5. The duo lost to Salisbury's Williamson and Siew by a narrow 8-7 (7-5) tally. 

This closes out the fall portion of the schedule with the Diplomats returning to action in the spring.
