800 Free Relay Takes 16th at Nationals

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Franklin & Marshall's men's 800-yard Freestyle Relay team of Brendan Cline, Timothy Gould, Alec Wahl, and Christopher Schiavone registered a 16th-place finish at the NCAA Championships on Friday evening, touching the wall at the 6:50.69 mark. The event was a timed final with all heats counting towards the final results.  

The team's top-16 finish earned all members All-American Honorable Mention status. 

Denison finished first with a time of 6:30.57. 

Going into the final day, F&M sits 25th with 17 team points. Denison leads the pack with 426.5. 

F&M's best team finish came in 1998 when the Diplomats took 26th. 

The Diplomats return to the pool tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. for the final day of action and the preliminaries for the 100-yard Freestyle and 400-yard Freestyle Relay.
