LANCASTER, Pa. – Two individual victories from Daniel Sanders were not enough as Franklin & Marshall fell to Johns Hopkins 173-84 on Friday night in men's swimming. With the loss F&M fell to 0-3 and 0-2 in the Centennial Conference (CC).
Sanders, a freshman, continued to be a bright spot for the Diplomats, taking top points in two events on the night. In the 50-yard freestyle, Sanders finished first with a time of 21.87 while his time of 56.37 in the 100-yard IM was also good for nine points.
Lang also claimed a second-place finish, turning in a time of 28.22 in the 50-yard breaststroke to finish as runner-up.
Patrick Greaney and Richard Perry each contributed third-place finishes for F&M. Greaney finished the 1000-yard freestyle in 10:32.54, while Perry took bronze in the 50-yard butterfly with a time of 24.75.
The Diplomats return to action on Friday, hosting day one of the F&M Invitational at the Kunkel Aquatic Center. That event will begin at 6:30 p.m.
