Diplomats Place Third at CC Championships

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall finished third in the 2015 Centennial Conference (CC) men's swimming Championships with 499 points. Gettysburg won their fifth-straight title with 763.5 points, followed by Washington in second at 594. 

Patrick Greaney earned a fourth-place spot in the 1650-yard freestyle at 16:40.38, while Andreas Lair Ferrari placed seventh in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:55.26, and Jack Currie finished fourth (12th overall) in the consolation at 1:59.28.

In the 200-yard butterfly, Richard Denton finished fourth at 1:56.12 and Richard Perry placed sixth with a time of 1:56.97. David Burton won the consolation and was ninth overall at 1:56.67, while Cody Kalinowski placed third in the consolation, touching the wall at 1:58.90.

Eric Lang's time of 2:10.63 was good for fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke, and Ryan Caffrey placed seventh in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.72. 

A team of Dennis Chen, Matthew Murphy, Denton, and Caffrey earned fourth-place points in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:10.54.
