F&M Advances Seven into Day Three Finals

GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall's men's swimming team advanced seven competitors into the third and final day of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.

Andreas Lair Ferrari advanced to the final of the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:54.88, while Jack Currie will compete in the consolations after a 2:00.15 showing.

In the 100-yard freestyle, Ryan Caffrey advanced to the final after placing seventh this morning at 47.76, while Dennis Chen will race in the consolations after posting a time of 48.48. 

Eric Lang finished fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:12.06 to advance to the final, while William Cappuccio (2:17.01) and Matthew Pozmanter (2:22.82) will race in the consolation.

In the 200-yard butterfly, Richard Denton earned a fourth-place spot at 1:57.57, while Richard Perry finished sixth at 1:57.75. Both will race in the final tonight. David Burton (1:58.75), Jordan Alter (2:02.10) and Cody Kalinowski (2:03.01) will compete in the consolation.

Alter finished second in the preliminary round of the 1650-yard freestyle at 17:01.28, and Steven Latka placed seventh at 17:50.70.

Day three finals begin tonight at 6:00 p.m., where champions will be crowned in the 1650-yard freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, and 400-yard freestyle relay.
