LANCASTER, Pa. – Three members of the Franklin & Marshall men's swimming team advanced into Friday night's day one final at the 2013 Centennial Conference (CC) Championships.
F&M placed two swimmers into tonight's 500-yard freestyle final as Jake Reingold finished session one with the second-fastest time at 4:38.68, followed by Tim Landon in sixth at 4:45.99. Patrick Meehan reached the consolation round by ending with the 12th-fastest time at 4:50.05.
The Diplomats were unable to qualify any swimmers for tonight's 200-yard individual medley final, however Richard Denton and Patrick Greaney reached the consolations. Denton placed 11th with a time of 1:59.77, followed by Greaney in 13th with a time of 2:00.33.
John Zipp advanced into tonight's 50-yard freestyle final by swimming the third-fastest time of the session at 21.33. Reaching the consolations for F&M was Zach Wilt and Patrick Musselman. Wilt placed 11th at 21.72, followed by Musselman in 15th at 22.14.
The finals will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m., where champions will be crowned in the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and the 400-yard medley relay.
