Five Swimmers Advance To Finals

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's men's swimming team is looking to get back on top after last year's second place Centennial Conference (CC) finish to Gettysburg. The Diplomats advanced five swimmers from session one to this evenings finals.  

David Fell highlighted the session for F&M taking second in the 200 IM with a 1:56.14, while Richard Denton made it to the finals coming in seventh with a time of 1:59.03.

Three Diplomats qualified for the 500 free finals. Tim Landon led the group coming in fourth at 4:43.85, Jake Reingold finished sixth with a 4:45.48, and Dennis Chen took eighth with a mark of 4:48.04.

Barley missing the cut in the 50 free as Zach Wilt (21.69) and John Zipp (21.77) placed ninth and tenth to reach the consolations. Also reaching the consolations for F&M are: Paul Edwards (4:54.37, 16th) in the 500 free and Travis Catania (2:01.01, 16th) in the 200 IM.

Five finals will be held tonight at 7 p.m. Champions will be crowned in the 200 Free Relay, 500 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, and 400 Medley.
