• Season in Review: 2017-18 F&M Men’s Swimming

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team delivered a record-breaking season during its 2017-18 campaign. The Diplomats took fourth at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships and broke 11 program records for both individual and relay events throughout the season.

  • Five Diplomats in the Medal Hunt on Final Day

    Five swimmers from the Franklin & Marshall men’s team will be competing for medals in tonight’s finals of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships. Eric Dietrich-Peterson’s 1:52.69 swim in the 200-yard Butterfly was good for first and set a new program and meet record. Christopher Schiavone set a new program record with a 45.19 swim in the 100-yard Freestyle. Alec Wahl and Timothy Gould look to make it to the podium in the 200-yard Backstroke, while Ryan Caffrey will compete in the 200-yard Breaststroke.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swim team brought home 12 medals during the four-day Centennial Conference (CC) Championships this weekend. The Diplomats finished fourth with 502 points. Gettysburg took first with 759.5, followed by Swarthmore (543.5) and Washington College took third (517).

    LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team has nine swimmers in the hunt for medals at tonight’s Centennial Conference (CC) Championships. Eric Dietrich-Peterson and Daniel Sanders are in the 100-yard Butterfly, while Christopher Schiavone is looking for his second individual medal from the 100-yard Freestyle. Timothy Gould and Alec Wahl compete in the 100-yard Backstroke. Ryan Caffrey is in the hunt for the 100-yard Breaststroke and Eric Lang is in the 400-yard IM.
  • F&M Fourth After Day Three, Reset Multiple Program Marks

    As part of an evening that saw five medal finishes, the Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team also set four new program records. Eric Dietrich-Peterson led with a top finish in the 100-yard Butterfly. Christopher Schiavone (200-yard Freestyle) and Timothy Gould (100-yard Backstroke) delivered silver and Alec Wahl brought in bronze in the 100-yard Backstroke. The 400-yard Medley Relay team also finished with the silver. F&M sits fourth with 360 points with Gettysburg holding the top spot at 536.5 going into the final day of competition.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team sits third after day two of the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship. The 200-yard Freestyle Relay team set a new program record with a 1:23.79 finish that was good for a silver medal, while Christopher Schiavone delivered the only individual medal with a second-place finish in the 50-yard Freestyle.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s 200-yard Medley Relay team set a new program record en route to a first-place finish during the first day of the Centennial Conference (CC) Swimming Championships. The Diplomats ended the day second with 90 points while Gettysburg has the slight advantage at 104. 
  • F&M Set to Host CC Championships

    Franklin & Marshall men's swimming is set to host the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships this weekend, beginning with the first of seven sessions on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. Preliminary heats will be conducted during the morning sessions, followed by finals in the evening, with the last session scheduled for Sunday night. The Diplomats are seeking a ninth team championship and their first since 2010.

    Franklin & Marshall’s Eric Dietrich-Peterson was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Men’s Swimmer of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the first for Dietrich-Peterson and the first for the team this season.

    Franklin & Marshall men’s swimming set two pool records en route to a 157-105 victory over Susquehanna on Sunday afternoon. Eric Dietrich-Peterson set a new 100-yard Butterfly record with his 51.82 finish. The 200-yard Medley Relay team of Alec Wahl, Ryan Caffrey, Dietrich-Peterson, and Christopher Schiavone delivered a 1:37.33 mark to set the new pool record as well.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s team took home third place at the Gettysburg Invite on Saturday evening after top finishes from Eric Dietrich-Peterson, Alec Wahl, Christopher Schiavone and the 200-yard Freestyle and 400-yard Medley relay teams. The Diplomats scored 653.5 points over the two days while Gettysburg took first out of the six teams with 1070 points.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team finished fourth with 886.5 points after three days of competition. Delaware came in first out of the 11 teams with 1625 total points.

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team dropped to fourth after the second day of the F&M Invitational with a total score of 468. Delaware maintained the lead with 905 points.

    LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team came out with strong finishes from their relay teams to finish in third place at the end of day one of the invitational with 212 points. Delaware leads on the day with 291. Alec Wahl, Ryan Caffrey, Eric Dietrich-Peterson, and Chris Schiavone set a program, pool, and meet record with a 3:23.14 finish in the 400-yard Medley Relay, which currently stands as the fastest finish in DIII this season.

  • Diplomats Sweep Opening Tri-Meet

    Franklin & Marshall’s men’s swimming team started their season on Saturday beating York 151-109 and then Messiah 168-92. Eric Dietrich-Peterson set a pool record in the 100-yard butterfly with a final time of 51.74. Chris Schiavone also set a pool record with a 47.92 finish in the 100-yard freestyle.
