Men’s Soccer Announces Eight-Member Class of 2023

LANCASTER, Pa. - Franklin & Marshall men's soccer coach Dan Wagner announced the program's incoming class of 2023. The eight-member group features four recruits from Pennsylvania, two from Washington, D.C., one from New Jersey, and one from Texas.

The Recruit Breakdown 

Shay Adamson (Allen, Texas/The Einstein School/Solar 01B Stricker) 

Highlights: First place in USYS National League Group 2018… USYS Region III Finalist 2018… Scored 17 goals and recorded 22 assists during the 2018-19 season… First in minutes played on team… Club team earned a place in summer's upcoming National Final.

Comments from Coach Wagner: "Shay has an incredible feel for the game as a center midfielder. He can calmly move a ball but is also explosive when he gets forward."

Ingram Dillingham (Lower Merion, Pa./Friends Central/Delaware FC)

Highlights: Three-year captain of Delaware FC… Two-time Club State Champion… Regional Semifinalist, National League Finalist with Delaware FC… Two-year FSL Finalist with Friends Central.

Comments from Coach Wagner: "Ingram is a versatile, athletic player with a powerful left foot. A converted attacking player that now plays as a center back for his club team, Ingram will play as a left center back or left-back for the Diplomats."

Henry Cooke (Radnor, Pa. /Radnor/Ukrainian Nationals 01) 

Highlights: 2017 State Finalist with Radnor… 2017 Region 1 Champions with Ukranian Nationals… 2016 District Champions, 2018 State Finalists… Selected to Second Team Central League, All-Delco… Playing for a club national championship this summer. 

Comments from Coach Wagner: "An extremely talented goalkeeper, Henry was central to his Radnor's run to a State Final and Ukrainian's advancement to the National Tournament."

Christian Clark (Millburn, N.J./Millburn High School/FCUSA 00/01B Blue)

Highlights: 2018 Sectional Champion… 2018 State Finalist for Millburn High School… 2017 Disney College Showcase Champions… Selected to First Team All-State, All-Section, All-County and All-Conference teams during his senior year… Captain and MVP of club team.

Comments from Coach Wagner: "Christian is a born leader we have tracked for many years. A strong, vocal organizer, Christian will play as a center back for the Diplomats."

Will Micheletti (Newtown Square, Pa./The Haverford School/LMSC) 

Highlights: Won U19 National League group with Lower Merion Sabertooth Rats SC… Two-time Inter-AC League Champion… PAISAA State Champion with The Haverford School… Selected to First Team All Inter-AC, All-Mainline, and All-Delco… Team captain of The Haverford School… Will be playing for a club national championship this summer.

Joshua Slager (Washington, D.C./St. John's College H.S./Bethesda SC)

Highlights: Played on the US National Futsal team… D.C. State Champion with St. John's College High School… Two-year captain of high school team… WCAC Honorable Mention… Captain of Bethesda SC team.

Tyler Wagner (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite/PA Classics)  

Highlights: Back-to-back Pennsylvania District Champion… State Championship finalist with Lancaster Mennonite… Named First Team Lancaster-Lebanon during junior and senior years.

Comments from Coach Wagner: "It's not every day a coach gets to have his son in the program. Tyler is an exciting attacking player who can run at people and is a great ball striker. He will play as a winger for us."

Spero Xanthos (Washington, D.C./The Field School of Washington D.C./McLean ECNL '00)

Highlights: Won five USYS State Cup Championships… Club team was ranked No. 1 in Virginia, No. 35 in the nation… Four-year All-League selection (Second Team - freshman, First Team - sophomore, junior, senior)... Team captain of high school team senior year. 

Comments from Coach Wagner: "One of the fastest players we have recruited, Spero combines breakaway speed with an ability to serve a ball, which will make him an exciting winger in our program."
