WESTMINISTER, Md. – No. 17 Franklin & Marshall downed McDaniel 12-10 in Centennial Conference (CC) men's lacrosse action on Wednesday evening. The Diplomats picked up their ninth straight win and improved 9-2, 4-0 CC while McDaniel fell to 5-8, 0-5 CC. 

The Diplomats dominated the opening quarter, jumping out to a 5-0 lead. Sean Rogers put the first point on the board at 13:21 and Harry Rice struck three minutes later. Mike Rama found Kevin Mollihan at 5:18 and Mollihan scored again off a feed from Riley Aviles to make it 4-0. Mike Rama put F&M up 5-0 when his finished off a pass from Mollihan. 

McDaniel dominated the second, outscoring F&M 5-1. Rogers buried a pass from George Briggs for the Diplomats only goal as the Green Terror netted four straight to come within a point, 6-5, at the break.

Rogers and Christopher Casey netted goals 15 seconds apart in the opening minutes of the third for an 8-5 edge and McDaniel scored at 1:54 to make it 9-6. The final minute of the third ended in a flurry with three goals in 44 seconds. Casey finished off a pass from Rama for the first, McDaniel answered 17 seconds later and Jarrett Donaghy found Ellis Llewellyn with 13 ticks on the clock for a 10-7 F&M edge heading into the final frame.

Tucker McBride buried a pass from Briggs to put F&M up 11-7 and McDaniel answered with two straight. Mollihan put the last point on the board for F&M with two minutes left to make it 12-9 and the Green Terror netted the final goal at 1:27.

Mollihan finished with three goals and one assist, Rogers scored three and Casey had pair of goals. Rama, Rice, McBride and Llewellyn all scored once and Rama along Briggs had two helpers. Donaghy and Aviles record an assist each for the Diplomats.

Nick Zenobio paced the defense with three caused while Drew DeBacco and Tommy O'Connor caused two each. Anthony Dougherty came away with four ground balls for F&M.

Scott Hatch turned away 13 shots and improved to 9-2 while Bryan Ruygrok took the loss with four stops.

The Diplomats return to action on Saturday when F&M hosts No. 16 Ursinus at 7:00 p.m.
