LANCASTER, Pa. — Nine members of the Franklin & Marshall men's golf team placed in the top-15 at the F&M Invitational Monday at Bent Creek Country. The Diplomats also took the top two spots in the team standing with the 'White' Team winning the event at 284 followed by the 'Blue' Team at 291. Penn State Berks was third with a 292 in the 17-team field.
Seiichiro Nakai and Tyler Wassell led the way with a tie at second place finish after firing a 69 on the par-71, 6,434-yard course. Penn State Berks' Andrew Cornish won medalist honors with a 67. Charles Mitchell was fifth at 70 and Jared Berlin along with Drew O'Hern tied for sixth with a 71 in the 88-player field.
Jordan Hubal, Matt Marino, Steve Nicholas and Jason Koshinski all shot a 74 for 14th and Will McMahon carded 75 for 21st. Justin Lankler along Kevin McGloin finished 31st with a 77, Ian Murray was 50th with a 79 and Angelo Bonvino shot an 80 for F&M.
F&M returns to action on Saturday at the two-day Marywood Invitational.
