MACUNGIE, Pa. – Three Diplomats placed in the top-5 to lead Franklin & Marshall to first place in the first round of the 2018 Centennial Conference (CC) Men's Golf Championship. The Diplomats finished at 286, 13 strokes ahead of McDaniel and Dickinson (299).
Ben Mitchell leads the 35-player with a four-under 67. Mitchell carded six birdies this afternoon. Seiichiro Nakai had five brides and tied for third at 72 on the par-71, 6,534-yard Brookside Country Club course. Justin Lankler tied for fifth with a 73 while Steve Nicholas was a stroke behind at 74 and sits in ninth. Kevin McGloin had an 80 today and is currently tied at 26th.
F&M continues its title defense tomorrow with another 18 holes schedule with the final round slated for Sunday. The Diplomats are looking for their fifth straight title this weekend.
