LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall's Brad Lankler and Stephen Colodny were both named to the Division III PING Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America. It is the second time each player has earned the honor after both made the team in 2015.
Lankler (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) returns to the All-Region Team after leading the Centennial Conference (CC) with a 75.19 scoring average during the 2015-16 season. He shot 77-78 to card a five-under 135 over two rounds and win the Ted Keller Memorial on Oct. 12, and has finished in second place on two other occasions this year.
Colodny (Westport, Conn. / Staples) landed on the team after ranking third in the CC with a 75.89 scoring average. Last month, the junior shot 80-73 to enter a five-man playoff at the CC Championships, ultimately, finishing in a tie for second place. He has finished in the top 10 at three other tournaments this year, including a second-place finish at the Fred Kravetz Invitational, hosted by Rochester at the Irondequoit CC in Pittsford, N.Y.
The Diplomats put together another banner year in 2015-16, winning a third-straight CC Title and winning four tournaments out of nine. The CC Championship was F&M's eighth and the seventh in the last nine years, giving the Diplomats 14 total conference championships (MAC and CC) and 11 NCAA Tournament appearances.
