Diplomats Win Kravetz Invitational; Meissner defeats Colodny in Tiebreaker

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Franklin & Marshall finished with a two round 614 (316-298) to place first at the Kravetz Invitational hosted by Rochester University on Friday and Saturday.  

Jon Meissner won medalist honors after tying with teammate Stephen Colodny. The tiebreaker was the round two totals of each player with Messiner's 70 topping Colodny's 76 on the final day of action at the Oak Hill Country Club.

Messiner shaved 10 strokes of yesterday's 80 for a 70 on the par-71, 6,781-yard course. Colodny fired a 74 and 76 and placed second in the field of 39 golfers.  Daniel Furman was fifth after shooting an 80 on Friday at the Irondequoit Country and finishing with a 73 today.

Jon Granville and Benjamin Mitchell tied for 21st. Granville had rounds of 82 and 81 while Mitchell carded an 84 on Friday before taking off five strokes to finish at 79 on Saturday.

The Diplomats return to action on April 22nd at the Centennial Conference Championship hosted by McDaniel at the Bridges Golf Club.
