LANCASTER, Pa. – Brad Lankler earned honorable mention on the 2015 Division III PING All-America Team announced by the Golf Coaches Association of American (GCAA). The honor is the first All-America award for Lankler and the eighth in program history.
Lankler (Westfield, N.J. / Westfield) was named to the GCAA All-Region First Team and All-Centennial Conference (CC) First Team earlier this season. He had an impressive season for the Diplomats, posting a 74.0 score per round and winning three tournaments. The sophomore placed first in a field of 59 at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational on September 22 with a two-over 146 (72-74) and won the Ted Keller Memorial Invitational on October 13 after shooting +4, while finishing off his first-place victories at the F&M Fall Invitational on October 20 with a score of 69 (-2).
At the three-day CC Championships last month, he totaled a score of 224, finishing five strokes behind his teammate Bobby Svigals at 219 for second place. Lankler placed in the top-10 in every contest in the regular season.
F&M wrapped up one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Diplomats made their 10th NCAA appearance and placed 17th after dominating the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship, where F&M swept all the major awards and reset a handful of records. The CC Crown was the seventh for the Diplomats, sixth in the last eight years and marked the program's 13th overall conference championship. The Diplomats won nine tournaments this season, which led the nation among all three divisions
