F&M returns a strong group of players that dominated play last year and won the 2014 CC Championship by 19 strokes for the Diplomats sixth CC Crown. The Diplomats continued their momentum in the fall, winning every Division III Tournament they played in and set a school record by averaging under 300 in every event.
Four members of F&M's five at the CC Championship return, including CC Players of the Year sophomore Brad Lankler and senior Robert Svigals. Lankler averaged 72.9 during the fall in 10 rounds of action and won three events with a low of 67 while Svigals finished with a 78 average in the fall, with a low round of 74. Junior Daniel Furman will be in the top five with the second best average in the fall at 73, as will senior Henry Richards and sophomore Stephen Colodny.
Freshman Christopher Gabriele will also vie for the top five after a successful fall season where he averaged 75.5 and placed first at the Mason-Dixon Classic. Sophomores Steve Altieri and Jon Meissner will also look to break into the top five as will freshmen William Swanson and Benjamin Mitchell.
The Diplomats will find out early if they have what it takes to win the conference with two early events that will be challenging. F&M opens at the McDaniel Invitational that will feature all the CC schools before heading to the Hershey Cup on April 5th & 6th to take on the top teams in the region. F&M will host its Spring Invitational on April 20th before heading to the three-day CC Tournament at the Dupont Country Club on April 24-26.
