ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. -- Christopher Gabriele placed first to lead Franklin & Marshall to the team title at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic Sunday afternoon. Gabriele took medalist honors with three-over 147 (74-73) at the two-day event.
The Diplomats totaled 612 team points in the 15-team event, seven better than York (619) while Muhlenberg finished third at 633.
Brad Lankler took second with a two-round total of 150, shooting 74 on day one and carding 76 today on the par-72, 6,713-yard course. Stephen Colodny finished tied for 12th in the 74-player field at 156 (77-79) while Daniel Furman shaved five strokes off his round one total 82 to finish at 159 and a 23rd placed finish.
Henry Richards had a consistent 83-83 for a 166 and finished tied for 55th for the Diplomats.
F&M returns to action next Sunday at the two-day Randolph-Macon Invitational before wrapping up their fall schedule on the 20th with the F&M Fall Invitational.
