Diplomats Win F&M Invite; Svigals Second

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Robert Svigals shot a 70 to lead the Franklin & Marshall Blue Team to a first place finish at the F&M Spring Invitational Monday afternoon at Bent Creek Country Club. Svigals found himself in a tie for first, but Cabrini's Dan Gentilucci won the tiebreaker on the match of cards to take medalist honors.  

Cabrini took second in team standings at 295 followed by Stevenson (299), Messiah (309) and the F&M White Team tied for fifth at 310.

Dave Gilbert shot even on the day at 71 and tied for third on the par-71, 6,158-yard course. Stephen Colodny and Brad Lankler both tied for 12th at 75 while Daniel Furman rounded out the Blue Team with a 77.

Lucas Ludgate led the way for the White Team with a five-over 76 to place 15th in the field of 83-players. Henry Richards finished in 19th at 77 while Jin Hwang and Jon Meissner figured into the scoring at 78 and 79 respectively. Jesse Zorfas finished out the five with an 83.

Kyle Huntzberry shot 78 for F&M while Steve Altieri carded 82 and Jared Brown finished at 84 with Maxwell O'Connor turning in a 93 for the Diplomats.

F&M returns to action next Wednesday at the Messiah Invitational.
