HERSHEY, Pa. – Daniel Furman placed fifth to lead Franklin & Marshall at the Hershey Invitational Monday afternoon at the Hershey Country Club East Course. Furman finished with a two-day total 152 (74-78) in the 81-player event.
The Diplomats took fourth after leading through round one and finished with a two-round total of 622 (301-321). McDaniel took the top honor at 606 followed by St. John Fisher (616) and Allegheny (618) in the 15-team invitational.
Robert Svigals finished 10th at 154 (74-80) while Alex Kane from McDaniel took medalist honors with a 143. Brad Lankler shot 82 and finished at 157 for 19th place on the par-71, 7,061-yard course. Dave Gilbert placed 28th at 159 and Jon Meissner shot 163 (78-85) for F&M.
Jin Hwang was competing as an individual and finished with a two-day total of 165 (81-84).
F&M returns to action next Monday when the Diplomats host the F&M Spring Invitational at Bent Creek Country Club.
