Warner Second, Diplomats Third in 2010-11 Opener

DANIELSVILLE, Pa. – Cameron Warner tied for second place in the field of 103 golfers to lead Franklin & Marshall to a third place finish at the Centennial Conference dominated Moravian Fall Invitational.

Warner shot 74 to finish two strokes over par and a single stroke behind medalist Peter Ruymann of Gettysburg. The top five finish is the sixth of Warner's 20-event old career.

Gettysburg finished second in the team standings at 318, whith F&M four shots behind. Muhlenberg ran away with the team trophy with 15 strokes on the 20-team field. The Mules' Chris DiMaio shot 74 to tie with Warner, while teammates Zachary Oyer and Brandon Davis were one and two strokes behind the second place golfers.

Jeremy Rubin and Kevin Goserud recorded top 20 finishes. Rubin shot 79 to finish in a tie for 14th place, while Goserud shot 80 to tie for 19th. Danny Liebowitz shot 89 to tie for 81st. Freshman Jin Hwang carded a 92 and finished in a tie for 92nd place.

The Diplomats return to action at the end of the month at the King's Creek Invitational hosted by the University of Pennsylvania.
