Elverson, Pa. – Andrew Woods shot 72 on Tuesday to earn medalist honors at the Ursinus Invitational. The Diplomats' senior led Franklin & Marshall to its second invitational championship in 48 hours. The Diplomats captured the Bent Creek Invitational on Monday.

Woods' 72 was two strokes over par at Stonewall Golf Club, good enough for his second individual medal of the season and the fourth of his career. The Diplomats top four golfers all finished in the top 10 of the 13-team, 68-golfer field. Brendan Mohler finished with a 74 (+4) for sole ownership of second place. Danny Liebowitz shot 77 (+7) to finish in a three-way tie for fifth, while Cameron Warner recovered from yesterday's round with a 78 (+8) to finish in a three-way tie for eighth place.

The scoring foursome combined for a 301, giving the Diplomats 11 strokes on a field that included five other Centennial Conference (CC) teams. Stonewall is the site of the 2010 CC Championships.

All six of F&M's golfers that competed on Tuesday finished in the top 20. Rob Moriarty finished in a five-way tie for 15th with an 80 (+10), while Jeremy Rubin landed in a seven-way tie for 20th with an 81 (+11).

The Diplomats will get one last tune-up before the CC Championships on April 24th and 25th. F&M will compete at the Messiah Invitational next Tuesday. The Diplomats won the event at Blue Ridge Country Club last year.
