HERE'S THE KICKER: A member of the November 7 Centennial Conference Special Teams Honor Roll for punting eight times for 335 yards (41.9 avg.) with a long of 53 yards and four punts inside the Ursinus 20-yard line as part of a 28-21 win over the Bears, punter Dan Eggertsson (Sr., Royal Palm, FL/Suncoast) has been among the nation's best punters this season. In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, Eggertsson leads the Conference in punting with a 41.0 yard average (55 punts for 2,257 yards) and ranks second in point after efficiency (96.4 percent). Further, he ranks second in field goals (five), third in field goal percentage (five-for-eight, 62.5 percent), second in scoring by kick (42 points) and sixth in scoring with 4.7 points per game. Historically, his 2,257 yards this season mark the fourth most yards ever punted for by a Franklin & Marshall player. In addition, the Diplomats are averaging 41.1 yards per punt as the squad should reset the school single season team record for highest punting average previously held by the 1996 team (39.01 ypg). For his career, Eggertsson has punted 148 times for 5,679 yards with 44 punts inside the 20-yard line, eight fair catches and six touchbacks. For his career, he is averaging 38.3 yards per punt as he is currently 0.10 off the school career punting record of 38.4 held by Jon Bushey and is on pace to erase the single season punt average record of 39.9 held by Bushey from 1996.

KICKING IT: Barring a tragic day for Eggertsson and the Diplomats, the squad will reset the team single season punting record of 39.01 held by the 1996 Diplomats as the Diplomats are averaging 41.1 yards per boot this year.
