LANCASTER, Pa. - For the second consecutive year, Franklin & Marshall's Drew Tomlinson and Kevin Lammers were each named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 Football Team, announced on Thursday. The honor marks the second accolade of both student-athletes careers.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America Program requires that nominees are at least a sophomore with a 3.30 or higher cumulative grade point average and are starters or significant reserves on their team.
The all-district selections place the pair of Diplomats on the ballot for the prestigious CoSIDA Academic All-America Team, which will be announced on Wednesday, Dec. 12.
Tomlinson (Haddonfield, N.J. / Haddonfield Memorial) earned a spot as a junior kicker. He places third in the Centennial in extra-points made at 31. Tomlinson has also been successful on a pair of field goals in 2018, with a long of 26 yards.
Lammers (Haddon Heights, N.J. / Bishop Eustace Prep.) was the lone special team's representative for District 4. The junior return specialist was named to the All-CC First Team after ranking first in the Conference and 27th in the nation with an 11.6 punt return average. For the year, Lammers has returned a total of 16 punts for 186 yards.
F&M will host Lycoming on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in the Centennial-MAC Bowl.
