Series History: Saturday's game marks the 30th meeting in a series that began in Lancaster in 1932 with a 21-7 F&M win. It marks the 11th meeting between these schools as members of the Centennial Conference. F&M holds a 21-8 edge in a series in the previously on-again, off-again relationship. The first eight games were spread out over 42 seasons. The teams met for 11-consecutive seasons (1972-1982) competing in the MAC with F&M holding a 9-1 lead at the end of that streak. The series has been competitive since Moravian joined the CC, with the series tied at 5-5.

Records Watch: Taalib Gerald sits in the top-10 in multiple statistical categories entering the week. He is second with 25 rushing touchdowns with Keith Wert '78 owning the record at 28. His 30 touchdowns scored rank fifth, while his 180 points are fifth. Dale Amos '90 holds both records with 35 touchdowns and 210 points, respectively. Gerald enters the week with 1,986 rushing yards which place him fifth, while Andy Surtz '97 sits on top at 2,913.

CC Rankings: F&M ranks in the top of multiple statistical categories around the conference. Tanner Erisman leads the conference with a 165.2 passing efficiency. K.J. Pretty is first in touchdowns (8) and first with 119.2 receiving yards per game. Joe Granahan sits first with 10 sacks and fourth with 11.5 tackles for a loss.

F&M's Last Game: At the christening of the brand new Shadek Stadium, Franklin & Marshall sent the Homecoming crowd home with a dominating win over the Dickinson Red Devils 56-0. With the win, the Diplomats retain control of the Conestoga Wagon Trophy for the second straight year.

Erisman went 10-of-17 for 161 yards and two scores through the air and chipped in with five rushes for 25 yards and two scores on the ground. Gerald led the way rushing with 96 yards on 16 carries and two rushing touchdowns.

K.J. Pretty finished the afternoon with 100 receiving yards on four grabs, including a game-high 50-yard catch on F&M's second offensive drive. 

Defensively, F&M had a day for the ages. The unit held the Red Devil offense to just 11 total yards and four first downs, with an astonishing minus nine yards on the ground. The Diplomats racked up five sacks, two fumble recoveries, and two interceptions. They were led by Joe Granahan's seven total tackles and 11.5 sacks. Jackson Hale picked up two sacks, while Jeff Leone and Vincent Moffett both recorded interceptions.

Moravian's Last Game: Junior kicker Jon Miller drilled a career-long 34-yard field goal with four seconds remaining to give the Moravian College football team a 20-17 victory over host Juniata College in Centennial Conference action Saturday afternoon.

Moravian's offense picked up 417 yards on 64 plays as freshman quarterback Doug Erney completed 18-of-32 passes for 257 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Erney also had 72 yards rushing on 11 attempts. Junior running back Eli Redmond added 59 yards on 14 carries while junior running back Frank Dangello ran for 22 yards on five attempts.

Sophomore wide receiver Alex Pierce caught a team-high five passes for 74 yards including a 41-yard completion to help set up the Greyhounds' second touchdown. Freshman wideout Ricky Tate added four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown while senior tight end Aaron Brown had three receptions for 66 yards and a score. Senior wide receiver Aaron Hudson added three catches for 16 yards, one kickoff return for seven yards and a rushing attempt for six yards while freshman wide receiver Nick Petros caught two passes for 32 yards, ran once of a yard and punted six times for an average of 34.5 yards including a career-long of 60 yards.

Sophomore defensive back Tim Valentine led the Moravian defense with 11 tackles while senior defensive lineman Vinny Caporrino added nine tackles with two and a half tackles for loss and a sack. Junior linebacker Steve Ewald had eight tackles with a half a tackle for loss while freshman linebacker Tanner Barr added seven stops with a half a tackle for loss. Senior defensive back Justice Anderson made six stops and returned a pair of kickoffs for 22 yards while freshman defensive back Jalen Richardson added five tackles.

Freshman defensive back Jackson Buskirk had a pair of interceptions, both in the first half, and he added a total of three passes defended and three tackles. Senior linebacker Owen Perih also had three tackles with two for loss while freshman defensive lineman Shane Mastro and senior defensive lineman Fouad Haddad both had three stops.

The Last Meeting: Franklin & Marshall escaped with a 24-17 victory over Moravian in Centennial Conference (CC) football action Saturday afternoon at Sponaugle-Williamson Field.

F&M outgained Moravian 360-268 yards and held a 36:10-23:58 advantage in time of possession.

Shellhammer racked up 77 yards on 23 carries and one score and Gerald ended the day with 74 yards on 17 touches and one touchdown. Bradley completed 16-of-26 pass for 212 yards and threw for one score. 

Bobby Keyes hauled in seven catches for 92 yards to pace the receivers and Alderfer recorded 75 yards on four catches with one touchdown.

Jon Naji led the defense with nine stops (8s) with one tackle for a loss (TFL). Okun, Brendan Daly, Luke Foukas and Michael Sullivan all finished with six tackles apiece. Okun added an interception while Daly had two pass break ups. Foukas netted 1.5 sacks and Joe Granahan was in for half a sack with four stops.
